Enjoy these photos of Watermelon Day in Rocky Ford, CO in the early 1900s. We believe it was 1903.
The photos were taken by Frank Sherman, who famously photographed a cattle drive by the Holt Cattle Company in southeast Colorado. These photos are in the Bowen collection, and the black and white photos were colorized.
